It seems that not everyone will be allowed to develop applications for the iPhone, but only to those who have direct authorization from Apple (of course fee).
If this thing is confirmed, definitely slow down the spread of this new device and no incentive for anyone to create free applications as it does for other platforms (Symbian, Java, etc. ...).
Having thus developed a hardware and not be able to use if they are not passive consumers of, will in fact lose the interest of many people (me for example) who hoped to finally have a gem on which to develop some interesting applications .
