Why Do My Legs Hurt In Bed

The exchange vessel

Notice to users

For several reasons that you list I left the ship in which I worked to start a new professional adventure ... This has for the readers has a dual effect: one positive and one negative. Since I am one of those who say that it is better to stick first and then the carrot first tell you the downside.

downside: I do not know how much free time left for me to write the strange cases of life .. but I will:)

Positive aspect: I have many colleagues over the possibility of running into strange cases of life increases by 70%.

Beggar

Every time I go to the supermarket I met the ladies who usually begging, always one for a year or so. Phrases to move to the charity are the ones that you all know, I'm hungry, etc. are out of work. Then one day here ...
the strange case of life: hear the ringing of a mobile phone with polyphonic ringtones, which more than a cell phone looked like a radio, and I see him disappear around the corner for talking on the phone without being seen.

I understand that a mobile phone will not be denied to anyone ... but come on!

Creating an SSH Tunnel

Very often happen to be inside a corporate network, or a school and not be able to connect to an external service because the company policy does not provide that maybe you can connect to certain services (such as Skype, MSN, ICQ, IRC, etc. ...).

Using SSH you can create a real encrypted tunnel from your computer to an external SSH server, which will act as a bridge with the service to which we connect.

You can find the complete guide on the wiki PtLUG .

How To Use Wireless Mouse When Dongle Is Dead

Wardriving with Kismet and Nokia 770 Google Earth / Maps

With the spread of wireless networks, has resulted in a phenomenon called wardriving . The wardriving is to move on foot, by bike or car, equipped with a laptop or a PDA with a wireless adapter (802.11 a / b / g) and search for information on existing wireless networks. Many

wardriver addition to the computer also carry a GPS receiver to acquire the exact location of the area where you will find the network.

The purpose of this guide is just to demonstrate how to capture data on wireless networks through the use of the Internet table Nokia 770 and a bluetooth GPS receiver.

For convenience, the rest of the guide I posted on the Wiki PtLUG (on which you can find many other guides written by myself and other employees of PtLUG) and can be found at this address .

I get zero

This is a bit 'heavy, not responsible for any deterioration in your mental waves.

"female person" (which from now on we will call x) after having bought the new phone reaches me complaining about a malfunctioning: a zero appears mysterious when dialing a phone number.
My first suspicion falls on housing obviously incompatible with the model of phone in use that was being too tight so that the press of a button is pulled back at least 2 more .. Thus the primary order, before picking up the phone, is to remove the phone from the case and try to do the number without ...
X seems enthusiastic about the likely solution to the problem but soon after falls into the abyss: "Oh no, I get even a scratch .."
picks up the phone and ask you to give me the number: 0123456789, unknown faults and its component ... I give the phone and I suggest you try under my supervision.
X: "Yes ... ok then ... 0 ... 1 ... 2 .... 3 .... 4 ... 5 .. 6 .. 7 .. HERE! E 'appeared in the zero!
Me: "Let me see ... well from no ... you can not ... help! "

The strange case of life: Following demonstration of where the zero appeared

Where To Buy Channel In Calgary

Nokia 770: Linux in the palm of your hand.

some time looking for a handheld that would allow me to do things with other handheld I could absolutely do that and had good prospects for future development. After so much

wait, the choice fell on the Nokia 770 . In addition to having faith in Nokia years now for its great products, this handheld had a good reason in piu '(at least for me) to be purchased: the fact of being based entirely on Linux and to be completely open source (ok.. except the driver's handwriting recognition).

The N770, while being manufactured by Nokia (which usually are used to bind to cell phones), not a phone but a mini tablet that allows you to surf the internet, chat, read email, make calls, VOIP , watch videos, play MP3s and listen to streaming radio (including Shoutcast), and then turn most of the applications linux / gtk.

connectivity is one of the strengths of this device: it incorporates both the fact that the Bluetooth wireless network card 802.11 b / g. Connection procedures have also been made so simple to be very intuitive and quick use.

As mentioned above, the strength of this handheld is definitely the operating system: Linux. More than 'just is a version called Ad-hoc Maemo and derived from Debian . Maemo, as well as being developed and supported by Nokia, can 'count on a large community of users and geeks who are contributing on a daily basis to development of new applications or porting existing ones for Linux.

The graphical interface of the Nokia 770 is based on the GTK libraries and is called Hildon. Applications are developed in C or in Python. There are of course also the porting of other development languages, such as Mono / C #, Perl, SmallBasic and others.

E 'available to developers a true development kit that even includes an emulator that allows you to test applications on your PC before you test them on your handheld, allowing you to compile for armel and i386.

Soon I will post (also on this page) a tutorial in Italian explaining step by step how to install and configure the Maemo development environment on your PC.

is in my opinion an excellent platform to develop applications. The recent release of the Nokia 800 (the successor to the 770) bodes well for future projects that Nokia has in mind. We only hope that this is a trend of the moment but instead wants to demonstrate the power and convenience in producing a device based on open source software.

OpenGL and wxWidgets

What is there to say about OpenGL? Famous library that provides low-level calls to create 2D and 3D graphics.
To work with these libraries, it takes a little 'patience because are not very close, but taking the familiar things you can achieve very nice. To begin to study OpenGL
advice or a book, The Red Book, also available on-line or if you learn better with the code this site by turning to the Internet there are also translations of the lectures.

If you're wondering but I do not know programming C + + (language most used for these libraries) must necessarily learn to program C + +?
No, you can use other programming languages. Obviously

OpenGL is a library with only low-level functions, but we must also create a window to contain these "drawings" to create the container we many possibilities.
Since I use Linux, but I have to have portability to the Windows world, I threw myself on portable libraries, the choices were different.
The main wxWidgets and QT, I looked a bit 'the source codes of both and I found myself more at ease with wxWidgets (obviously offer compatibility with OpenGL).

The wxWidgets allow you to use C + +, Python, Perl and C #. / NET.
Since my experience is more oriented towards C / C + + I chose the latter.
These libraries also provides many examples for most features, and there is good documentation (javadoc-style) for functions.

After some 'initial difficulties, we were able to effectively use these two libraries with a lot of potential (imho).
The hardest part was the integration, we had to play a little 'to spin the cube:), but at the end of the efforts we are very happy.

Ultimately recommend using these instruments, even if it means losing a little 'time to learn how to use a minimum.
The only negative thing we found was to install libraries for wxWidgets development under Windows, as well as install them with the easy installer must complete all re-editing an option.
But anyway they are all steps described in the help files.

Good programming to everyone:)

My Dog Ate My Laxatives

iPhone is all that glitters is gold?

is not yet released and already making a name for itself.

After a few days the official announcement made by Steve Jobs, also the first leaked rumors that Apple intends to take the policy with regard to the developers.

It seems that not everyone will be allowed to develop applications for the iPhone, but only to those who have direct authorization from Apple (of course fee).

If this thing is confirmed, definitely slow down the spread of this new device and no incentive for anyone to create free applications as it does for other platforms (Symbian, Java, etc. ...).

Having thus developed a hardware and not be able to use if they are not passive consumers of, will in fact lose the interest of many people (me for example) who hoped to finally have a gem on which to develop some interesting applications .

addition to the speech application development, it is still unclear but the policy that Apple intends to take in respect of telephone operators. Will be allowed only for some operators to take advantage of this phone? Will be given the opportunity to anyone?

We all the time to reflect on these questions, since iPhone will not come out that the U.S. market on June 1 and European before the end of 2007.

Is Nadine Jansen And Milena Velba The Same Person

A homemade wifi bridge with DD-WRT

a long time I was looking for a product that would allow the satellite set top box (a DreamBox 7000), which has only the ethernet port, to connect to the network instead I concentrated all the other side of the house.

Bring a cable from the bedroom to the living room would have been to drill at least 3 walls, not to mention the bad cable that would be seen.

The only viable solution was then connect it via wireless, but how? As with other devices (Playstation, Xbox, etc ...) the DreamBox does not natively support wireless devices, we needed then something that would be a "bridge" making clear that there was actually connecting to a wireless router (in my case a Netgear 834G).

For some 'time I had been thinking if we could achieve this by recycling an old Linksys WRT54GL which I possessed. The answer came this finding tutorial.

In summary, (but I refer you to the tutorial, in English, for more detail) installing the firmware DD-WRT opensource instead of the original firmware, setting our device as a client-bridge in the wireless router and doing it to our associate Wireless can make this happen. Each device

which is connected to a port of the bridge is automatically connected to our wireless network.

Last thing I suggest two little tips that helped me solve some problems: for the version of DD-WRT I recommend the .24 beta, otherwise the device had not proved very stable in the high traffic flows and finally I suggest you increase the parameter that controls the transmission power (the bridge) which by default is 24 and that you can 'set up to 240 (I have made 120).

Nagios

One of the problems of those who must maintain a relatively high number of machines is the discovery, with subsequent diagnosis of the various problems (Software or hardware) that inevitably, sooner or later must be made.

There are basically two approaches to the problem:

  1. hope for the best waiting for the "bang"
  2. We monitor closely the various machines to reduce the number of "bang"

Since the first case, which is dangerous, let account only the number 2.
universe GNU / Linux there are a lot of applications to "simplify" the remote control of a few cars lately I have been talking on the applicator NAGIOS .

As we read on the official website :
“Nagios is a host and service monitor designed to inform you of network problems before your clients, end-users or managers do. It has been designed to run under the Linux operating system , but works fine under most *NIX variants as well. The monitoring daemon runs intermittent checks on hosts and services you specify using external “plugins” which return status information to Nagios. When problems are encountered, the daemon can send notifications out to administrative contacts in a variety of different ways (email, instant message, SMS, etc.). Current status information, historical logs, and reports can all be accessed via a web browser.

Dunque si tratta di un’architettura client / server to remotely monitor the status of a set of cars from the CPU load to the disk space, memory use of the number of processes.
The purpose of this is to prevent any problems or, at most, be able to "intercept" the problem before the users notice it. Although initial

The setup is a bit complicated, the web interface is simple and effective control.

A convenient tree graph informs us about the status of various servers and the services they host.

will shortly publish a detailed how-to on how to optimally configure Nagios.

Gmail & Co - Chapter 1

today face a slippery topic ... our beloved e-mail boxes.
All now have at least one: the e-mail in a few years it has become an essential business tool. But nobody has ever wondered what happens to our messages once delivered to the provider? What is the difference between the boxes "paid" and unpaid? And, above all, because some providers do you pay for a service that others offer free or really ridiculous figures?
try to distinguish the various types of services:
  1. Free services: provided by Google (with Gmail), Free, Telecom Italy, etc. ...
  2. Services fee: provided by small / medium / large providers
  3. Services DIY "provided by the users themselves (most geeks) who have the ability to have a mail server in house.
To analyze the situation, consider an example, two small companies that do not have the ability or competence to have a mail server "at home" will call "X" and "Y".
X uses a free service, Y uses a paid service, the two exchanged a daily average of N messages.
One day the spell is broken and the problems begin: the e-mail not arriving at their destination. What happened? Y
calls his e-mail service provider who, being obliged to answer the phone and track email depart and arrive on their servers, provide all relevant information: time and date of shipment or arrival of message delivery to the recipient's server or to your customer, etc. ...
X, however, after a long wait on the phone receives the comforting news, on an answering machine that the mail server of your provider for some days they do not want to know about your work ... and as the service is free, answering the phone is an option.

Example, instead deliberately provocative tone, not far from the reality of things.

In the next chapter we'll talk about filters Spam and how they are maintained by different providers.

C + + Gui Programming With Qt4: Why I bought

After a little research on Amazon and having consulted with some colleagues, I decided to buy this book. My knowledge of C / C + + are very basic, also I had never even programmed with Qt.

The decision to dedicate myself to learning C + + / Qt4 was dictated by several reasons. First thing I did not know any more in the bottom of the available toolkit for Linux. I also wanted to practice a language that was portable and relatively low level and that allowed me to accomplish anything. The combination was so perfect.

Personally I would advise this book to those who have never programmed in C + +, having convenient appendix that deals with explaining the differences between C + + and C # and Java. This is a real boon for those who in fact comes from the world C # /. Net or the Java world.

It should start with Qt4 but has never programmed with Qt3? Definitely yes. The Qt4 are the basis of the imminent (well, not too much, we talk about a few months) Kde 4. Advance means head start and be up and running when KDE 4 comes out. In addition, between Qt3 and Qt4, there have been significant improvements and some basic editing (even if it has been maintained for backward compatibility), and if one should learn before the Qt3 do double duty of having to upgrade later.

When I arrived at the 3rd chapter of the manual and now I can be happy with your purchase.

are obviously not yet able to write a full review of the book (not having read it yet), but I plan to do so as soon as I finish.
